In the third quarter of 2024, the News and Magazines category on the Android platform saw varying performance trends in the United Arab Emirates. Here's a closer look at the top five applications, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Quora: the knowledge platform experienced fluctuations in its weekly downloads, beginning with 338 in early July and peaking at 397 in early August. By the end of September, downloads tapered off to 244. The active user base started at approximately 7K in early July and gradually declined to around 5.5K by the end of the quarter.

Revenue saw notable peaks, with the highest being $69 in the week of September 23. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 12K to 14K range throughout the quarter.

Google News - Daily Headlines maintained a significant number of active users, starting at approximately 139K and peaking at 148K mid-quarter. However, its weekly downloads showed a declining trend, beginning at 203 and dropping to 142 by the end of September.

Arab Times: Gulf Hindi News, a newer entrant, saw an initial surge in downloads with 655 in its first recorded week. This figure peaked at 1162 in late August before settling at 162 by the end of September.
